The Beaumonts — Letting Go of the Dial
When the lead singer of local band The Beaumonts approached me about designing their latest album cover, I jumped at the chance because it's something I've always wanted to do. When we met to discuss the project, he told me the story behind the album and the artwork he wanted to use. The album was inspired a lot by his life growing up in a small town south of Rochester, and the pictures were a collection of snapshots from his life growing up (with the exception of the cover art, which was shot by a local photographer). He wanted the lyrics to be integrated into the images with a fun and funky feel - but also still very readable. Together, we came up with the following packaging. For the project, I worked with the print house to get correct specs, edited all the photos to get a consistent look of sepia-toned photos, and managed all typography and placement.
